Pasembur
This is our very own style of Pasembur and also known as Rojak Mamak. Pasembur is also a famous delicacies in Penang and we serve you the best among all of Pasembur you may find around Penang's street. Pasembur is a Malaysian Indian Salad consisting of cucumber(shredded), potatoes, beancurd, turnip, bean sprouts, prawn fritters, spicy fried crab, fried octopus or other seafood(customer's choice) and served with a sweet and spicy nut sauce. We guarantee that you will crave for more Xander's Pasembur when you try one.
Nasi Kandar of Penang
This is our very own Nasi Kandar that has become our priority to the Penang's citizens. Penang's Nasi Kandar is an Indian-Muslim cuisine in
Penang that consists of steamed rice that we served with variety of curries and some
other side dishes. Nasi Kandar derived its name from the shoulder poles
(kandar) used by people to balance two containers in the past. This is the
authentic Malaysian cuisine in Penang. Nasi Kandar has also being the most-ordered food in our restaurant so we bet you won't regret to try it and to like it!
Char Kwey Teow
One of the favorite Chinese dishes in Penang,known as Char Kwey Teow or Fried Kwey Teow. The kway teow (flat rice-noodles) is stir-fried in a wok together with a bunch of other ingredients such as prawns, bean sprouts, garlic, chili paste some dark soy sauce. Also, it’s normal for the wok to be on fire for a while during cooking the dishes, so don’t be alarmed. The action of letting the wok to be on fire while during cooking the dishes also to enhance the taste and aroma of the fried kwey teow. You will always want crave for more char kwey teow when you taste it from our restaurant.
Hokkien Mee/Prawn noodle
This is Hokkien mee,also known as "prawn noodle". It is a
dish of egg noodles and rice noodles in a fragrant stock, which is made from
fresh shrimp and dried prawns, as well as chicken. It is garnished with
prawns, fish cake, leafy greens, squid, vegetables, crisp deep-fried
shallots & spring onions. Served with the spicy sambal, the noodle provides
a distinctive flavor of Penang.
Penang Laksa noodle
This is Penang's Laksa noodle. It is one of the Penang's must try delicacies and also it's different from the Sarawak's Laksa noodle. The word of Laksa is believed to be originate Sanskrit word "Laksha"
which means "many", referring to the abundance of ingredients that is
being used to make the dish. It is made with shredded mackerel (Ikan kembung)
and its main distinguishing feature is the assam or tamarind which gives the
soup a sour taste. Other ingredients that give Penang laksa its distinctive
flavor include lemongrass, cucumbers, onions, red chili, lettuce, pineapple,
mint leaves & ginger buds. The aroma of Penang Laksa is
simply great. You can easily order another bowl to satisfy the lust.
